Solo exhibition revealing a colorful and dreaming global playground. Let’s play with Seth, a Parisian artist who explores imagination, games, and diverse cultures.
Here is a look at” Seth se la joue.”
Seth se la joue
This exhibition showcases paintings, games, and sculptures from Parisian artist Seth. Divided into four thematic sections – Globe Painter, Marmaille Street, What’s your game, and playing word games – these interactive and recreational artworks transport us to different countries. Through his poetic creations, Seth explores traditional games and uses our imagination to address important topics.

About the Artist
Born in Paris in 1972, Julien Malland, also known as Seth, is a French painter and writer. He began his street art journey in the mid-1990s in Paris’ 20th district.

In 2003, he traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he was inspired to paint kids and their games. Over the next nine months, he voyaged around the world and showcased his talents on the streets.

My Highlights
Playing Words Games
Seth explores French expressions, using them as a playground for linguistic exploration. To visually interpret these expressions, he has crafted sculptures and paintings.

Globe Painters
For the past 20 years, Seth has traveled across the globe, exploring diverse cultures and ancestral myths. His project, ‘Globe Painters’, showcases his unique reinterpretations of these experiences, bridging the past and present through the perspective of kid’s games. In this exhibition, he transports us to Madagascar, Indonesia, Ukraine, Haiti, and China.

The Motanka Doll from Ukraine

A Motanka doll is a talisman from Ukraine, a tradition that dates back 5,000 years. Each element of the doll carries a specific symbolism, representing prosperity, Earth, and the connection between the past and future. Intriguingly, this doll, which is designed without a mouth, is believed to safeguard all your secrets.
