Hike the Wisdom Tree

360 views over the Greater Los Angeles. The Wisdom Tree is a short and strenuous hike offering panoramic sights over Los Angeles, Burbank, Glendale, and Hollywood lake. The cherry on the cake, the Hollywood Sign is only a few feet away!

– Distance: 1.6 miles out-and-back

– Difficulty: Moderate

– Time: 1:15 hours

The first time I hiked the Wisdom Tree, I ascended it with a heavy sandbag with my Bootcamp crew to prepare a Spartan race. Our coach Scottie challenged us pushing to run/walk. What a hell!

My next hikes felt easier but don’t fool yourself. It’s still a great workout without weights! Indeed, the climb is steep, the path narrow and rocky.

The trail starts at the end of Wonder View Drive [Engage on the paved path below; the trail will start a few meters after the last house (approximately 0.4 miles)].

Start the ascent to this rugged trail and stop along the way to take pictures (and catch your breath!)

You reach the top of Burbank Peak when you can see a lonely tree.

Atop, the panorama is stunning: Griffith Park, Lake Hollywood, Los Angeles, Burbank, San Fernando Valley, and more.

Once you reach the Wisdom Tree, I recommend continuing to the Hollywood Sign (an additional 0.8 miles one way). You can also come back using the same path.
